Just Poems #5: The Favorite Part of Me vs. Love is Compassion
Featuring two previously shared poems, both "human generated" which one is better?
Just Poem’s brings you poems weekly!
This exercise extrapolates the work started in the AI within Art project and builds upon the idea in the book Answers to Love, Life, and Leadership in an AI-driven World. Version 0.5 of the book only included poems written by a human.
Both of these poems appeared earlier in Just Thoughts, along with an explanation of when and why they were written. The Favorite Part of Me Appeared in Just Thoughts #14, and Love is Compassion in Just Thoughts #16. Check them out to know where the inspiration for writing these came from!
The Favorite Part of Me
A poem a day
It keeps my demons at bay
Writing is my form of medication.
Thinking of you is my form of meditation.
Because you live in my favorite part of me
The part that knows who I want to be.
Love is Compassion
Love is curious
Lost to those who are furious
At the world, at someone, or themselves.
Know that you’re enough; forgive them and yourself.
Otherwise, appreciation and gratitude will go without
practice,
the two ingredients for love and happiness
There is no computer-generated content this time. Leave a comment on why you think one is better than the other. Maybe the backstories will help you choose?
