Just Poem’s brings you poems almost every day!
This exercise extrapolates the work started in the AI within Art project and builds upon the idea in the book Answers to Love, Life, and Leadership in an AI-driven World. Version 0.5 of the book only included poems written by a human.
”Art is the lie that enables us to see the truth” - P.Picasso
When we express ourselves through our art, we reveal what lies within our souls. Art is the most accurate form of self-expression, our interpretation of reality or how we want to see it. Thus revealing our true nature.
Reveal Yourself
Paint, Build, Write, Dance, Create
Do that which is an extension of self. It will take
Pain, Tears, Dedication, Work, Perseverance
And a lot more of different emotions and actions. But you’ll get
Joy, Fulfillment, Content, Love, Happiness
When you’re being the most accurate form of self.
Pablo Picasso’s quote inspires the above poem. The one below is prompt using Claude 3.5, I hadn’t tried Claude before, but the onboarding is smooth. However, with all these LLM products, I’m surprised none of them provides a user guide for effective prompting. You may be wasting a lot of computing by making simple mistakes.
Unlike chatGPT, Claude doesn’t seem to provide the option to share the thread created online; only the “Artifacts” visual representation is written with code. I asked Claude to interpret the context and write something with the same message; the output is below, with some sentence structuring curation with Grammarly.
The Artisan's Journey
In your soul's workshop, a masterpiece is waiting to be born. Your hands are the tools, your mind is the blueprint, and your heart is the raw material. Each day presents an opportunity to chip away at the stone of conformity, to mold the clay of convention into something uniquely, unabashedly you.
This journey of creation is not for the faint of heart. It demands sweat-soaked nights and dawn-lit mornings. It calls for the courage to face the blank canvas, the empty page, the silent stage. You'll encounter doubt lurking in the shadows of your studio and criticism perched on the windowsill of your aspirations.
But press on, brave artisan of self. With each brushstroke, written word, and sculpted form, you unveil a fragment of your essence. The world begins to see you as you truly are - not a reflection of expectations, but a refraction of your innermost light.
And then, one day, you'll step back and behold your life's work. In that moment, you'll find satisfaction and a profound sense of homecoming. In creating, you have not just made art—you have crafted yourself, authentic and whole.
This is the ultimate act of love: to create, reveal, and be.
