Just Poem’s brings you poems almost every day!
A human writes one poem, and the other is prompted to look the same; which one do you like better?
This exercise extrapolates the work started in the AI within Art project and builds upon the idea in the book Answers to Love, Life, and Leadership in an AI-driven World. Version 0.5 of the book only included poems written by a human.
This weekend, we celebrated the wedding of a dear friend. All men in Finland need to go to the army; many do it and forget about it. Others serve with pride and keep going back for rehearsals when they get the chance. Our unit, however, even after 15 years, still gets together, and some of the group still go for lunch more or less once a month. Everyone feels safe sharing whatever is going on in love, life, and leadership, no matter what is being thrown at us now. Nonetheless, the best part is that we always share a laugh. Here’s a poem inspired by the moment one of our boys got married.
I took this poem and asked chatGPT to translate it, keeping the meaning but still making it rhyme. Here’s the output and the prompt.
You Are My All
With you, I’m counting time with an hourglass without sand.
With you, I could sail without seeking for land.
With you, I see colors, not just black or white.
With you, I feel all things, not just cold or bright.
I love only you, you who are my all,
With you by my side, I will never fall.
