If you’re a Marvel fan, it’s a disappointing "must-watch.” If you’re not a Marvel fan, you’ll be somewhat confused. However, if you’re a die-hard action-hero movie fan and have watched every superhero action movie since the beginning of the millennia, this movie is a treat. Why?
Firstly, to get into the storyline, even if you’re a Marvel fan, you must have watched the Loki series' first season.
Watching Logan will also help you understand the characters' backstories even more than watching Deadpool 1 and 2.
Without watching these, you won’t get into the story that keeps shooting hardcore superhero movie “inside jokes.” If you’re a Marvel fan, you’ll feel the desperate attempt of Deadpool wanting to be an Avenger without being thoroughly convinced he should be. Why? Because he’s not pulling plot twists unique to the universe or creating a new type of epic scene fans haven’t seen yet.
However, when the newly assembled crew of action heroes rolls into the base of wannabe bad-guy sidekicks, you’ll get goosebumps if you’ve been a die-hard superhero movie fan and old enough to have watched everything that has come out this millenia.
I’d be one of those. I remember having T.I.’s "Bring Em Out" on my first MP3 player, which brought back some memories, so I just had to go and add that to my fall playlist.
There will always be multiple Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four, but there will only ever be one Deadpool. He will never be one of them, nor does he need to be, because he has his best friend.
